It was a beautiful sunrise today.

Finally got my Star Tracker out and got a shot of Comet Lemmon tonight.

Last week we experienced a G4 Geomagnetic Storm. With these storms, come varying intensities of Aurora activity. This storm was quite intense and resulted in confirmed Aurora sightings as far south as mid-Texas and across to Naples, Florida.

We were fortunate to be able to head out to the mountains with a couple of friends and enjoy the night. Here's the result of our efforts, hope you enjoy! ❤️

When you trust mother nature to put on a show and go out in the middle of nowhere to get it, sometimes you are rewarded with something spectacular. That was the case Saturday May 11th. The sky lit up for hours with the most amazing colors, even to the naked eye.

My mom told me earlier this year that she had never seen the Northern Lights. Well we fixed that last night and still managed to get her home by 10pm. It was a good show, especially for the first time seeing them in person. Here are a couple of shots from what we saw near Crossfield, AB.

Rhea and I went to Ralph Klein Park tonight to see what it was like. There were so many types of birds for me to photograph, but not much in the way of insects for Rhea. I was lucky to get close enough on two occasions to this White-Faced Ibis to get some decent photos of it. Its name doesn't do it justice
