Our Biweekly features are the super quaffable Truffle Hunter wines from Langhe.
Their Langhe Bianco is lean and crisp with orchard fruit and a tense mineral backbone. Great for patio sipping. The Langhe Rosso is a gentle expression of Nebbiolo (our favourite variety at The Wine Shop) with juicy red fruit, a crack of black pepper and fine tannins. Delicious with cheese and charcuterie.
Each bottle is $23.95 (regular $26.95) until June 17.

Chateau Beauchene is BACK! 11 generations are behind this Rhone winery and the wines are, in short, excellent.
Their range includes their Cotes du Rhone Blanc made entirely from Viognier. Floral and honeyed with a delicious warming sensation with each sip.
Their Classic Cotes du Rhone is juicy and vibrant with herbal notes and fresh tannins while the Le Terroir Cotes du Rhone, made from 100+ year old vines leans into more savoury territory and darker fruit.
The Châteauneuf-du-Pape is made mostly from Grenache from 100+ year old vines. Concentrated fruit with savoury, spicy undertones, slick mineral notes and firm tannins.

Today we received a very small amount of 5 Year 100 Proof and 10 Year Whisky.
These limited releases from Campbeltown’s longest running distillery never last long.
The 5 Year 100 Proof is aged in bourbon barrels and delivers a warm punch green apple and smoke followed by a dusting of icing sugar and vanilla on the palate.
The 10 Year is aged in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks. Complex yet perfectly balanced from the first sip through to the sweet, salty finish.
