Ceramics…………..if you’re anything like me, you’ve always had a weakness for handcrafted things. I’ve wanted to learn the art of wheel throwing for quite a few years, but this year I decided to finally take the plunge. Needless to say, I love it……..it’s been so much fun and I think I’ve found my new favourite creative outlet. These are some candle vessels that I made recently, filled with a Malibu Sunset scented candle.

Hello friends……..it’s been a while and wow, time really did seem to fly by this year! As 2023 comes to a close, feelings of gratitude are abundant. Here’s a heartfelt thank you to all who supported Heart Notes this past year - it means a lot and it’s very much appreciated.

In other news, 2023 was filled with a lot of change (nothing like getting out of that comfort zone 😂), ongoing personal and professional development (which is honestly always a work in progress), and trying to navigate and balance life in general, goals, work, and all the things. Feeling very lucky and looking forward to what’s next 🤍

There’s something magical about all the colours, changes, and impermanence of the seasons. It’s always been a good reminder for me that no matter what we do, time passes.

I’ve been busy for over a year now with online classes and am working towards achieving my next professional goal. Life is busy, but the online store is always open. Today is a day to celebrate women for their social, economic, and political achievements. It’s a day to recognize their accomplishments and contributions, when for so long they have been repressed, ignored, and forgotten. It’s a day to recognize the importance of the progress we’ve made towards equality, and a reminder that we still have a long way to go towards achieving equity. That being said, who are the women in your life who you’re celebrating today?

Friends! It’s time for a post about my sidekick Marvellous Marvin 🐾 She makes every day better and is a very sweet, lovely cat. Her favourite toys are hair ties, bags, and boxes. She loves attention, is very social, and very clearly has a devoted servant (me) 😂 She is also the owner of a house that I am fortunate enough to get to live in, works hard every day to pay all the bills and the mortgage, and still somehow manages to spend most of her time sleeping 😒

Lillian Lake, one of my favourite places in the whole world. Trust me when I say it’s breathtaking, tranquil, and absolutely magical ✨

I highly recommend visiting and I can’t wait to see it again. I’ve been taking some time for myself lately after feeling burnt out for a long time. It’s been rejuvenating and I’ve had quite a few insights about what healthy work/life balance looks like for me. I hope that you make time this year to prioritize your own wellness, aspirations, and goals. Cause’ life really is too short, and I’ll be right there with you!
