This week, we recognize National Accessibility Week — a time to celebrate inclusion, raise awareness about accessibility, and recognize the important work still needed to create communities where everyone can fully participate.

At CP Alberta, accessibility means more than removing barriers. It means creating opportunities, building connections, and ensuring people with disabilities feel seen, supported, and included in every aspect of community life. Read more in our blog.

It felt like a Birthday surprise when we received our nomination for the 2026 Calgary Awards! We were nominated for the Community Advocate - Organization category for the work we do every day with the people we serve in the disability community.

Here at CP Alberta we want to thank the City of Calgary – Your Local Government and for this recognition of our hard work that was taken on by everyone in the organization. We are only able to continue to make a difference here in Calgary due to the support of everyday Calgarians, and for that, we want to thank you .

Here's to 50 more years of advocating and supporting Calgarians in the disability community!
