Tips on Storing rugs
- Vacuum your rugs to remove dust, wash with carpet detergent and let it dry
- Folding a rug would not give you the best result the next time you open it, instead roll up to protect it from damages

Our Story
In the early 80s, Beltline, Victoria Park, and Downtown Calgary were about to lose the only storage facility in the area. We decided to swing into action to to find a solution and to provide Calgarians with a local, completely customer-focused solution.
In 1982 Downtown Storage Solution opened its doors with the goal to reduce the stress and clutter in your life by affordably extending your living space.
We’re located in a historical Calgary landmark that was built in 1906. The elegant façade is not diminished by how strong and sturdy this building is – we jokingly call it the “bomb shelter!” By retaining the original hardwood floors in the foyer and classic bannisters in the stairways this building has kept the character that makes it so special.
While keeping the historic look and and feel we’ve also added upgrades to meet your storage needs! The lighting is bright, the freight elevator is oversized, and the loading dock is hydraulic. Two additional static loading docks easily accommodate everything from small vehicles to large moving vans.
As long-term Calgary residents, we feel it is important to give back to our wonderful community. As such, a portion of every monthly locker rental is happily donated to veteran and seniors’ societies.
