CPS’ CEO Glenn Leroux, speaks with BoxTop about our exciting news out today. Following an extensive evaluation of possible options in Canada and the United States CPS has selected Selkirk Manitoba as its preferred location to build its manufacturing facility that will produce high specification patterned solar glass. The facility will provide approximately 300 direct employment opportunities once complete and supply a rapidly expanding solar panel industry with a key component in helping to decarbonize the electrical grid.

Currently, the majority of solar panels manufactured in North America use patterned solar glass made with glass imported from China and other Asia Pacific countries.

Canadian Premium Sand ("CPS") is developing a "made in Canada" solution by developing manufacturing capacity in Manitoba for high-clarity solar glass utilizing low iron, high-purity silica sand from our Wanipigow quarry leases. Because creating a sustainable, lower-cost option, with fewer CO2 emissions for an exponentially growing market is good, right?
