RedLine Technical recently completed a dimensional verification of a 70-year-old actuator and armature assembly for a 12-foot butterfly valve.

Using our HandySCAN 3D scanner and Leica RTC laser scanner, we captured the valve assembly and surrounding equipment with accuracy down to 1/16 inch.

The resulting 3D model provided the client with a complete digital representation of the assembly and operating space, helping ensure a smooth and confident replacement design process.

A client approached us looking to improve thrust and reduce cavitation on a 1985 Kawasaki Jetski. The part they needed didn’t exist, so we reverse engineered the solution.

Using 3D scanning, mesh processing, and CAD modeling, we captured the geometry of the jetski intake, built a parametric model, and designed a custom Stuffer Box Plate ready for 3D printing and testing.

Reverse engineering with 3D scanning makes it possible to design new parts for existing equipment, even when no original CAD data exists.
