We’re very sorry, but due to an unexpected emergency, Cats Home Foundation will not be attending Punk in the Park today.

We know many of you were planning to stop by our booth, and we sincerely apologize for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause.

If you’re heading out today, we still encourage you to attend and support this fantastic community event! 🎸 Punk in the Park is filled with local artists, vendors, organizations, food, music, and great people, and we’d love to see the event get all the support it deserves.

🎉🐾 BREAKING NEWS: Bubbles has accepted a position in veterinary medicine! 🐾🎉

Congratulations to Bubbles, now Lucy, on finding her forever home and launching what appears to be a very promising career at Rocky Ridge Pet Hospital ! 💕

Lucy has settled in wonderfully with her amazing new family and has already begun accompanying her mom, one of the clinic’s fantastic receptionists, to work each day. While most kittens spend their days napping and causing mischief, Lucy has chosen a more professional path. 📋🐱

Under the watchful eye of Lily, Rocky Ridge’s esteemed feline Head Receptionist, Lucy is currently completing her orientation and learning the ropes of clinic life.

Current responsibilities include:
🐾 Greeting clients (from a safe distance)
🐾 Conducting quality-control inspections of cat beds
🐾 Boosting staff morale
🐾 Supervising reception activities
🐾 Looking impossibly cute during important meetings
🐾 Reminding everyone to take breaks for cuddles

We’re told she’s fitting in perfectly and has already won over staff and clients alike. Performance reviews have been overwhelmingly positive, although management reports she occasionally falls asleep on the job. 😴💼

A special shoutout to Lucy’s wonderful mom for opening her heart and home to this sweet girl. We couldn’t have dreamed up a more perfect match, and seeing Lucy grow up surrounded by so much love makes our hearts so happy. ❤️

If you’re visiting Rocky Ridge Pet Hospital, be sure to say hello to Lucy and her mentor Lily. We have a feeling this dynamic duo will be running the reception department in no time. 😸

This week, several cats and kittens in our care have been in for exams, surgeries, vaccinations, post-surgery rechecks, and follow-up appointments with our veterinary partners at

While these visits may not always be the most exciting part of rescue, they are some of the most important. Regular veterinary care helps ensure our cats are healthy, comfortable, and ready for the next chapter of their lives.

Every appointment, treatment, and recheck is only possible because of the incredible support we receive from our community. Whether you foster, volunteer, donate, share our posts, or cheer on our cats from afar, you are helping make this care possible. 🥰

❤️✈️ PERCY’S JOURNEY HOME ✈️❤️

After nearly two years and a journey spanning Canada, our beloved long-term foster Percy has finally found his forever home in Ontario. ❤️

It’s hard to believe that the confident, goofy boy who recently boarded a flight to go home with his forever family is the same tiny kitten who arrived in our care at just one week old, weighing only 110 grams.

Critically ill with pneumonia, Percy required tube feeding, intensive neonatal care, and around-the-clock support just to survive.

But Percy had a fighting spirit.

Day by day, he grew stronger, transforming into the affectionate, food-loving boy everyone fell in love with. Whether he was investigating snacks or greeting visitors like old friends, Percy never met a stranger.

Living with chronic respiratory disease meant finding the right forever home could take a little longer. As it turns out, that family was over 3,000 kilometres away but love knows no boundaries.

When his adopter learned about his story, they fell in love with his gentle spirit and knew he belonged with them. Percy flew from Alberta to Montreal before continuing on to Ontario, where he has settled into his new life with his forever family. ❤️

From a 110-gram orphaned kitten fighting for his life to a cherished family member embarking on a cross-Canada adventure, Percy’s story is one we’ll never forget.

Thank you to everyone who helped him along the way. This happy ending belongs to all of you, too.
