I definitely believe in arches.
But I believe in color drenching arches more:)

Let’s talk about how many nights- I stayed up- thinking about this siteline-
And how
It couldn’t be forgotten.

A room I adore:)
So much warmth in this front parlour-

I think there is a space- we all truly crave.

I have always known that to be home.
I had a Mother who valued how home felt for us growing up…
And a Father who worked to ensure that home wasn’t about things- but more about the consistent.
Home is simply the place you feel safe in.

It’s a constant.
It’s always there- or should be-
And it is warm.

Everything in me-
Was created-
To build this for others.

Yes to calm pallets of subtle movement- the kitchen you never want to leave:) what once was a dark heavy space- now breaths new life:)

I will always believe in the corners of home- that come as a surprise:)

I had a designer come up to me this week/ while I was in Vancouver for the design show…

It’s interesting- this thing of so many people watching you-
Then meeting you by accident in a random setting-

She said she kept watching me the first day as she felt like she recognized me-

Then on the boat cruise she came up and said-
“Oh my goodness I follow you- wow…”

And we just started chatting-
As she was one of those lights you meet-
The good ones-
That isn’t afraid to come and talk and know other sides or versions or colors of a world that can be very isolating…. Interior Design…. Entrepreneurship.

She looked at me and said-
“What you have done is incredible- your work is incredible-
What are your goals in the next year or two….?”

And I have to be honest-
I always find that question so strange-
And I know we are almost trained to feel like we have a goal that just sits on an excel spreadsheet/ or there is something wrong-

I responded honestly just taking it in…

“Well- my goal is- to work on myself…
To grow and become-
To be so humble- so wise- so gracious- so kind-
And have a team of the same-

That I am ready- for what is clearly growing-
On my behalf-“

And that is maybe something I think so many of us need to tuck away-

What is meant for us is growing- it is becoming-
While we sleep- and serve- and paint- and give- and work- and strive- and learn-

So be ready- to hold it well.

I feel like my goal-
For what I know is coming…

“God grow me into the person- who is ready to hold it well…”

It’s funny- having grown children off in University-
And little babies now filling our home once again with toys- and books- and scattered snacks in every room…

And I will take the full messy home anyday:)
