This past Saturday night my sweetheart helped me celebrate receiving my 40 year long service award from The Calgary Real Estate Board. It was a fun & memorable evening. It was wonderful to see so many friends that I haven't seen in many years.

FYI - last week transfer fees at our land title office almost tripled. This will add about $800 to the cost of selling your home. Our fees still remain low compared to other provinces that have land transfer taxes of about 1% of the sales price.

This article was just published about the surprising number of Calgary homes where they are finding life threatening levels of radon gas. I have been aware of the radon issue for a couple of years. My experience is that I am finding up to 30-50% of the homes that I test have unacceptable levels. I have a few detectors. Friends and and clients are welcome to borrow them for testing.

It was a pleasure to help this wonderful couple get settled in their first home! I love my job! 🙂 - We have known Rob for 4 years and recently asked him to be our realtor to assist us with the purchase of our first home. We are so glad we did!
