And I look forward to standing with him and the Jewish community tonight at City Hall, as they build Jewish pride in the public square, especially now during the Chanukah holiday. And especially this year after the horrific act of terrorism and hate in Bondi Beach.

Proud to have been a board member of the Calgary Canucks over the last two years. Extremely honoured to have received one of the team’s championship rings from winning the 2025 Centennial Cup.

🇨🇦 On Jan 21 we welcomed the opportunity to meet with MP for Calgary-Heritage Shuv Majumdar, facilitated by former Alberta Justice Minister and Ukrainian community advocate Tyler Shandro. Thank you for opening the floor to leaders of many Ukrainian organizations in Calgary, including newcomer support groups, churches, cultural ensembles, fundraising groups, and settlement organizations, and thank you to all who represented the Ukrainian community’s concerns to one of Parliament’s strongest supporters of Ukraine. Our community is grateful for and committed to continued productive dialogue with our elected officials.

MP Majumdar was a foreign policy advisor to John Baird and Prime Minister Harper. He then became Global Director at Harper and Associates, prior to being elected to Calgary-Heritage. He spoke in the strongest terms about his support for Ukraine and welcomed concerns and suggestions for how the federal government can better support Ukrainians at home and Ukrainian sovereignty abroad.

Дякуємо за можливість висловитися лідерам багатьох українських організацій Калґарі, зокрема груп підтримки новоприбулих, церков, культурних ансамблів, благодійних організацій і центрів допомоги з поселенням. Щиро вдячні всім, хто представив інтереси української громади перед одним із найсильніших прихильників України в парламенті. MP Majumdar раніше був радником з питань зовнішньої політики John Baird та прем’єр-міністра Harper. Calgary’s Ukrainian community has a clear message: Replace dictator domination with Canadian energy, strengthen Canadian defence production, and stand with Ukraine against Russian aggression.

Inflation and a broken immigration system are hurting Canadians and newcomers alike. Our discussion with community leaders and newcomer support groups focused on tackling these massive challenges.
