All hail our Dog of the Week, King! 👑 This handsome, friendly, affectionate boy is ready to reign over your heart. King is approximately 3 years old and 60 lbs, and his favourite place to be is cuddling up with his people. 🥰

King has journeyed through several households and is hoping to finally find the castle where he truly belongs. He's searching for an active family that can help him settle in, build trust, and enjoy the happily-ever-after he deserves. 🏰 King would do best in a home without other pets and with children aged 12+.

Ready to welcome this loyal monarch into your royal court? Don’t wait! As our Dog of the Week, King's adoption fee has been reduced. 🫅

Crown your new best friend by reading his profile and applying to adopt at aarcs.ca/animal/a2000335651. 🐶

My type on paper? 🤔 Smart, sweet, adventurous and great with dogs. Does that sound like a bit of you? Then Rayssa might be your perfect match! 😉

This gorgeous girl came into our care in March after suffering serious injuries from a dog attack. She had a long road to recovery, but approached it with incredible resilience. Now she’s happy, healthy and cleared for adoption. 🎉

Rayssa loves running, playing and exploring with her foster family, and has been working hard on mastering her basic cues. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but is gaining more confidence every day. 🥰

She's loyal, affectionate, and ready to find someone who will appreciate her for the amazing dog she is. 💚 If you’re thinking you’d like to pull Rayssa for a chat, view her profile and apply to couple up at aarcs.ca/animal/a2000406577. 🌴

Last week, our veterinary hospital hosted our largest Seniors’ Wellness Clinic to date, providing essential veterinary care to 82 beloved pets! 🏥 🥹

Through wellness exams, vaccinations, deworming and microchipping, we helped ensure these animals stay healthy, happy and right where they belong – with the people who love them most. 💚

The impact of these clinics goes far beyond medical care. They provide peace of mind, relief and support to members of our community who care deeply for their animals. 🥰

Thank you to our incredible team, volunteers and supporters who helped make this record-breaking clinic possible. 🩺

Meet Solstice, the perfect dog to celebrate on the longest day of the year! ☀️

This gorgeous husky cross is intelligent, active and affectionate. She'd love a family that can balance adventure and enrichment with cuddles on the couch. 🛋️

Solstice has been in the shelter since May, and we're hoping her summer starts with a foster or furever home. If you can break this amazing girl out of the shelter, please apply to foster at aarcs.ca/foster. 🏡

It’s the summer solstice and there is so much to celebrate! ☀️

Today is the 30th anniversary of National Indigenous Peoples Day! 🎉 It’s a wonderful time to recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis Peoples.

We are grateful for the opportunity to work alongside Indigenous communities across Alberta and hope today is filled with connection and celebration. 💚

Today is also Father’s Day, and we’d like to thank all of the dedicated AARCS dads who help our animals along their journey, from the shelter, to the clinic, in foster homes, and everywhere in between. 🥰

We know Father’s Day can bring a mix of emotions for many people. Wherever you find yourself today, we hope the extra daylight, warmth, and promise of summer brings a little comfort and joy.
