What happens when a young family decides to stay, invest, and make their home work exactly the way they live? You get a reimagined layout, a micro-ensuite that punches well above its weight, storage that takes up zero extra square footage, and a single slab of quartzite doing some very heavy lifting.

This project is about quiet luxury, thoughtful planning, and putting the investment where it matters most: the things you touch every day.

We take gift-giving very seriously. Not in a “here’s a curated guide” way… more in a “here’s what we actually love” way. Our favourite gifts this year all have one thing in common: they feel like tiny stories of a life well-lived with built-in character.

For example, a painting from a local show that immediately felt like it belonged in our orbit (bonus points for tigers). Or holiday décor that appears once a year, but also bolsters an existing collection (looking at you, glass nutcracker). Small design objects, such as this tiny French lamp that now travels with us, or the art books that somehow manage to be both inspiration and décor (and sometimes coasters, depending on the day). Then there’s barware; the most underrated way to say, “I pay attention.”

It’s about giving something with personality… ideally theirs, but a little bit yours too.

Who said “no colour” means “no contrast”?

This kitchen is a study in warm cream: Taj Mahal stone, buttery cabinetry, soft golden light. Our secret weapon was a cool, clean, pure white.

The custom faucet and range cut through the warmth just enough to add dimension, tension, and that irresistible little spark.

Sometimes the best match… is a mismatch.

Five materials we’re fully obsessed with. No notes, no apologies. 💁‍♂️

Green onyx stealing the bathroom (with handmade tile underfoot), blue quartzite, Cristallo glowing at the fireplace, linen bedding doing the good work, and wallpaper proving pattern is personality.

Design is a love story, and these are some of our current plot twists.
