Having a loose lower denture is a common problem amongst denture wearers. The reason behind loose lower dentures is the rate of bone resorption over time due to pressure from constant chewing.
Here we have a patient that decided to go with two implants. Why?
Because implants are titanium screws that are placed and fixed into the jaw by our associate oral surgeon's & periodontist. Once the implants heal we then place attachments into the denture (as shown in the picture). Which then clip onto the implants creating mechanical retention that prevents the dentures from moving and helps reduce the rate of bone resorption.
