TDEE is the total energy we expend in a day .

Our TDEE is the sum of our resting energy needs known as our Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), plus the energy expended while doing all our non scheduled daily activities known as non-exercise activity thermogenesis (NEAT), plus the energy used during our scheduled workouts known as our physical activity level (PAL), and the energy our body uses to digest and absorb food, which is the thermic effect of food (TEF).

Another battle for another class in the overall!

2 things. 1) it was goddam hard to even pose at this point after being on stage for 4 different class comparison rounds , 4 awards, and running around for suit changes and was finally starting to fade a bit. Crazy credit to that I didn’t even leak a single drop with all that!

And 2) it was site a lot cooler for the other awards being in the middle but decided he wanted it on this one I guess 🤷‍♂️ (deservedly !!).

Great time, great day and great people. I’m sure it’s hard to believe but haven’t done a sit-up in ten years (pls sense my sarcasm) , might try physique again after a couple of them over the next couple years.

It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of daily life and forget to take care of ourselves. 😓

We are often so busy taking care of others that we neglect our own needs. This can lead to feelings of depletion, frustration, and even resentment.

However, it is important to remember that we cannot pour from an empty cup. 🍶

In order to be the best version of ourselves, we need to make sure that we are taking care of our own needs. 👈

When we make the conscious decision to focus on positive energy, we are more likely to attract positive people and experiences into our lives.

Conversely, when we focus on negative energy, we are more likely to attract negativity.

So next time you're feeling overwhelmed, try to take a step back and focus on the kind of energy you want to put out into the world.

Chances are, you'll find that things start falling into place a bit more easily! 💪

t's common knowledge that eating healthy is important, but sometimes it seems like the only way to eat healthily is to break the bank. 💸

However, that doesn't have to be the case. There are plenty of ways to eat healthy food without spending a fortune. ✅

For example, home-cooked meals are typically healthier than takeout, and they don't have to be complicated or time-consuming.

In addition, buying in bulk can often save money, and it's easy to freeze food for later if you're not planning on eating it right away. 🗓

With a little creativity, effort, and the right choices, it is possible to eat healthily without breaking the bank!

How do you go about this? Comment below! 💪

This one was for you CODY DAIGNEAULT ❤️ 😇.

On a personal note the main reason why I did this show was for my best friend who passed away 7 years ago.

I certainly didn’t plan on attempting classic 20lbs under cap but crohns has slowly been stealing me of my size the last couple years, and regardless I’m in the twilight of my bodybuilding life - time was running out and I’m a man of my word.

The guy had more passion for this sport than anyone I had ever met even though he knew the cards stacked against him with one of the widest waists you’ve seen and some of the strongest legs out there that just refused to grow lol. He is 100% the reason why I got into bodybuilding, the sport that has given me so much in life from virtually every friend I have to a pretty damn great life financially.

When he passed away I swore that I’d do at least one show bodybuilding for him since he obviously wouldn’t hit the stage again.

This picture is from my very first show, I had no idea he was going to be there- he surprised me driving all the way down from ft. Mac driving through the night to make it.

I truly wish it could be you on the stage instead of me but I’ll hope you were there with me.

And as I make this post I realize that Cody was 27 years old when he passed …. I was randomly given 27 for my stage number. You were definitely there with me 😇 👊🏼🙌.

Slow and steady wins the race, or so they say. When it comes to bulking and gaining muscle mass, this adage definitely applies.

Bulking up too quickly can lead to excessive fat gains, which will later take more time to get rid of and in turn, cost you muscle mass (because you lose muscle while losing fat.)

In addition, it's important to maintain a nutrient-dense diet when you're bulking up.

So take your time, focus on proper nutrition, progressive overload, good sleep, and most of all, be patient - the results will be worth it in the end.

How many times have we heard this one before, yet how many times do we disregard our health sitting on the couch vs going to the gym?

Or how about knowingly and continually eating things we know are bad for us?

I struggle with the eating part more than most. Having crohns disease my list of foods that mess with my digestion include : basically everything except chicken, fish, and rice! Even veggies can mess with me so you can imagine how quickly I go down hill eating anything with preservatives, modified sugars , etc.

I have to say that I'm grateful for bodybuilding preps and being forced to find clean, natural alternative foods and treats that can carry forward after in my day to day life. I SWEAR to you once you get in a groove and get used to the alternatives you'll forget all about the crap you find on the shelves. Have you tried chicken, rice, and natural peanut butter together? Even little hacks like this taste AMAZING and go a long way towards your health and future health.

Dm me and I'd love to chat about dietary changes we can make to get you living a healthier life right away and down the line!

Good lord ᴋᴀʏᴅᴇ ᴇᴀᴛᴏɴ] these pics are starting to giving away our age when is see “abba”!

Obviously a few years ago but this was the last time I had the pleasure of putting this guy on stage.

Kayde approached me for some help 6 weeks out from his show which I was happy to give. ᴋᴀʏᴅᴇ ᴇᴀᴛᴏɴ] is one of those guys though who walk around Damn near stage ready al year round so it was a pretty easy one.

Just wait until his next showing, bigger and better - classic or physique, I wouldn’t want to stand beside him!

Well I should probably post my own recent transformation.

This one went from a casual macro based cut for 8 weeks where I basically just made sure I hit my absurdly high protein goals but then ate what I’d normally eat just smaller portions.

A lot of Turkey bacon, beef, chicken now and then (trying to avoid knowing that the last 8 weeks would be nearly all chicken and white fish).

Then for carbs and fats peanut butter, toast with jam, oatmeal, rice, etc. Cheat meals 2x a week as well!

The the final 8 weeks gears change and it’s perfection (minus a weekly cheat meal until 4 weeks out). Chicken , white fish, rice , cream of rice (crohns issues I have to go only rice sometimes and even cut protein a bit), very few fats (crohns again 😐).

A bit of balance there. Marco based dieting / calories in calories out can definitely work for a more casual “realistic “ fat loss and I highly recommend it to my lifestyle clients.

But when it’s time to get serious for stage (8 weeks out is only if you’re already way ahead of the weight loss game) you need a perfectly structured, timed and diligent meal plan going.

If you’re looking to shed some weight in a hurry or hit the stage down the road, shoot me a DM and let’s chat!
