Every fall, I think of not doing these because pre-Christmas is SUPER busy for me with my other two jobs. But then I get requests, and those requests come with stories. Stories of love, celebration, family, loss, firsts, lasts, friendship…

Baby gifts are fun, from special quotes on hand-lettered art to hand-knit blankets to keep a little one warm and cozy. It’s hard not to compare items by hand to store bought items that seem to be “prefect”. But as a creator, there’s something extra beautiful about gifts that are hand made, imperfections and all.

Part of being a creative visual artist (with ADHD 😉) means having dabbled in MANY different mediums. For fun, I’m going to do a series of posts featuring some of my “artistic phases”, in no particular order.

Hello! It’s been a while!

I’m super grateful to my Christmas 2022 customers! There are too many ornaments to post- each one represents a beautiful story of cherished relationship…

This was one of my most challenging and most rewarding ornaments to date. The photo I was given was stunning - besides the beautiful new babe and adoring parents, the light source and deep shadows had me rethink my standard “featureless” faces.

Happy Valentines Day! While the love we are typically celebrating today may be the traditional love celebrated with flowers, chocolates (and art!), I also celebrate the many other “loves” I am privileged to feel: the deep love one feels for their child, that love being reciprocated, knowing the deep love from a parent, loving a job, sharing love within a friendship, loving the beautiful country I live in…

That said… I am truly blessed to experience LOVE today.
