Another strong signal that global demand for Canadian natural gas continues to grow.

The Ksi Lisims LNG project has secured another long-term agreement to supply liquefied natural gas to Germany, bringing the project halfway toward its planned export capacity.

That's welcome news not just for British Columbia, but for Alberta as well.

The project will be supplied by the Montney natural gas formation, which spans northeastern B.C. and northwestern Alberta. With two-thirds of Canada's natural gas reserves located here in Alberta, our province is well positioned to help meet growing global demand for reliable, affordable and responsibly produced energy.
