At .co we believe in both definitions.

“Beautiful” is what we hope you notice in yourself every time you wear our earrings. We hope “beautiful” is what you see when you look at our macrame hanging on your bedroom wall.

However, “beautiful” is also how we hope we inspire you to live— with intention, sacrifice, and kindness— fostering meaningful relationships with those around you, forgiving fast, holding eye contact, and cherishing the life we’ve been gifted.

Hey Calgary, remember when we could go outside in dresses and didn’t need to worry about a rain jacket? 🌧

We hope that everyone is staying safe and dry this week, and goodness gracious are we excited for the sun to come baaaaaack!

Just another quick reminder, June 24th is coming up fast and we will be at with an entire booth full of earrings and macrame— fingers crossed the sun shows up too.☀️

We love our macramé. Yes, because it is beautiful (isn’t it?). But also, because each macrame represents a story of empowerment and beauty. 🤍

When we asked our partner, Pui, to share a bit more about their macramé production process, this is what she shared:

When an order is placed, artisans and makers are contacted and a timeline for creating items is arranged. There is no designated location for production— no factory or shop. Rather, Pui meets the women in a home, around shared food, stories, and everyday life.

The experience of poverty is a reality for many families and individuals in Laos. Pui’s vision is that the safe work and supplemental income provided through creating macrame and textiles will enable families to be cared for without having to resort to unsafe and exploitative working conditions. ✨
