A big shout out to the Calgary Highlanders and Strides for training Geordie and I for the Calgary Marathon over the past 6 weeks. The soldiers met with us every Wednesday to complete a 10km run along the Bow River pathway. Cheer us on as we complete the half marathon on Sunday!

How common is Functional Neurological Disorder?
FND is considered a rare disease. However, the exact prevalence is unknown, and the mechanisms that cause FND continue to be poorly understood despite its prevalence within neurological clinics. Some researchers claim that functional symptoms are often seen in neurological services, making it a common disorder. One report indicates approximately 1/3 of outpatient neurology clinic attendances are patients reporting functional symptoms.
