I’m Lorraine Weir, a lived experience grief faciliatory and coach, and I’m Brett Waring a Certified Celebrant, and we’re your hosts.
We believe that sharing our stories can help us heal and connect with others who are going through similar experiences. We’ll be interviewing guests who have experienced grief and loss in different ways, and we’ll be sharing tools and resources that have helped us navigate our own journeys. I find gratitude can sometimes feel like toxic positivity, so I struggled with it. I used it to hide from the pain of my loss and it helped for awhile. Then I became angry at the loss and there was no room for gratitude. Once I was able to shift my perspective I realized I was indeed grateful for so many things Cole’s love taught me. 💜🦋

Dare I say this … it may not be a popular belief … if you are in the early stages of grief and loss, this is not directed to you. It took me some time to find a path, to again challenge myself and create something good out of my pain. Everyone’s path is different… the invitation may be small or it may be bold … Be brave and respond to the invitation. 💜

I can feel the shifting as we begin entering a new season. This shifting used to confuse me, now I embrace it. It is lighter than previous years, it’s gentleness welcomed.
In the early days changing of seasons was a measure of time, another experience without you, without new memories…
