This is the moment I just knew...

I don’t usually get excited about promotions.
I get excited about possibilities.

And this month is creating some interesting possibilities for people exploring what their next chapter could look like.

If you’ve been thinking about what’s next for you, message me.

A story about the story!

Happy Birthday to my dad. He would have been 101 today, missed his 100th by 10 months. We all miss him and especially on this day. ♥️

Haha! This one came up in my memories this morning. Have a great day everyone 😃

Part of my story is that there was a time when I thought my future was pretty much mapped out.

We had worked hard, saved diligently, and like many people, I believed I knew what the next chapter was going to look like. I felt pretty secure actually.

Then life happened.

Savings changed.
Certainties changed.
Plans had to change.

For a while, it was too easy to focus on what had been lost instead of what was still possible.

But one of the most important lessons I’ve learned is this:

Your current situation does not define your future.

It may describe where you are today, but it doesn’t get to decide where you’re going tomorrow.

Every new skill you learn
Every new conversation you have
Every new opportunity you decide to explore
Every small step forward

No matter how small or insignificant they seem at the time, they all have the power to change the direction of a life.

That’s one of the reasons I started learning about digital business. Not because I knew exactly where it would lead, but because I knew I wanted options.

And sometimes that’s all hope really is.

Not having all the answers.

Just believing the next chapter can be different and that we can have trust in ourselves and yes, in the universe.

What is one thing you’ve done that changed the direction of your life?

My son is here for a short visit.

I said: “Do you want to take some baby spiders home with you?”

He said: “Mom! I hate spiders and I doubt they’ll let me take them on the plane!”

I said: “We can just put a couple in a little box and you can take them in you carry on, right?”

He said: “😳”

Are you a “What If?” kind of person?

I was listening to Peter Crone this morning, and he was speaking with a woman who was worrying over how things could go wrong even before she took her first step.

What if I fail?
What if it doesn’t work?
What if I make the wrong choice?

It was a super interesting conversation and it got me thinking.

I don’t consider myself a “what if” person. I could say I have a built-in What Iffer for that sort of rumination — my husband. He’s wonderfully talented at exploring every possible “what if” scenario, whether I asked for the full tour or not.

I certainly think things through, and I like to understand the risks before I jump into something. But I’ve learned that if every decision is filtered through fear of what might happen, life can become very small.

The interesting thing is that “what if” works both ways.

What if it doesn’t work?

But also…

What if it does?

What if the opportunity is real?
What if the timing is right?
What if the next chapter is better than expected?

Here’s the thing, sometimes the difference between staying stuck and moving forward is simply choosing which “what if” deserves more attention.

Which one shows up most often for you?
