We’ve been super quiet around here lately but we had a great excuse to post on socials!!

If you’re in South Calgary and need a sweeeeet fix, come down to the Andrew Sibbald soccer fields where SWU Soccer Club plays.

My little guy and one of his buds have been busy baking away (with some help from us moms) creating some delicious sweet treats supporting Rock Your Locks for kids cancer care. They’ll both be colouring their hair purple and Kendrick will be brush-cutting his lovely locks on June 7th!

All sweet treats are 2 packages for 5$ and are mix and match - and include white and milk chocolate blondies, Rice Krispie treats (plain and cookies and cream with white chocolate), classic haystacks, old school coconut macaroons, and brown-butter chocolate banana bread.

The kiddos will be here until 8PM tonight, or until product sells out.

🎉100% of all sales is being donated to their team fundraising and they accept both cash or card, or direct donations.

So, this isn’t an Itty Bitty Sale but is been the best baking fix I’ve had in a while (and ermagerd I’m tired today!!!)

The boys are located at the west side of the field set up market style!

⭐️ 2024 Update ⭐️

This year started off with incredible momentum which, like last year, took a sharp and unexpected turn.

We’ve had some very unexpected health challenges in our family which has dominated our focus while we meet them head-on. This has limited scheduling drastically.

There’s this pressure to always be moving forward - to push through no matter what - and that’s what we’ve been doing for the past few years. And I’ve lost my joy and my focus because of it.

The reality is, sometimes the most impactful steps come from not forcing our way forward, but pausing and reevaluating not just where we are, but where we’re headed, how we’re getting there and who we become through that process.

Running a small business is challenging at best and given the economic climate we’re currently in makes it that much more challenging.

And so, I’ve pushed the big ole’ Pause button on 2024/25 bookings.

I need to rest and refocus. I need to nourish my soul and reignite my ‘spark’. Most importantly, I need to focus on my family.

White on white - my absolute favourite and a perfect match for our “second winter” here in Calgary.

Lots of updates to share but still sifting my way through The Wedding Fair follow-ups. What an amazing and beautiful show and I was thrilled to create the cakes for not only our booth, but the show entrance as well as a few other booths too.

Buttercream mountains and lush flowers, tied together with a strip of gold ribbon… *le sigh* 😍

This was the perfect cake for an amazing couple I had the privilege to work with this past summer - and the venue!! Absolute perfection!

Wedding cake is so more than just cake. It’s the first joined activity the couple shares in as a married twosome… a reflection of the couples style and taste… the last formal sweet bite your guests enjoy for your evening… a sweet beautiful moment shared with your guests as you start on your new adventure, always captured in pictures.
