Session 3 in Saskatoon has been one of those weekends that reminds you exactly why PEBL matters.
Adjustments. Growth. Compete level.
From Session 1 to now, you can literally see the evolution happening in real time. Teams making corrections. Athletes gaining confidence. Systems starting to click. Players learning how to respond after tough possessions instead of reacting to them. That’s development. That’s what this league was built for.
Tip-off for today’s first game is 9AM.
Four more games left before the close of Session 3 here in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
And if this weekend has proven anything… it’s that the West is rising. 📈🏀
We’ve loved watching these athletes continue to grow through every session, every matchup, every adjustment.
Now we look ahead to Championships in June. 👀

SESSION #3.
SASKATOON.
THE WEST IS RISING. 🔥
This weekend the best U17 talent in Western Canada is back on the floor at the University of Saskatchewan for another massive session and if Session #1 & #2 told us anything… it’s that this league is getting deeper, faster, tougher and LOUDER every single weekend.
👀 WHAT TO WATCH FOR:
🏀 MRU enters undefeated at 6-0 and looking like the team to beat. Can anyone slow them down?
🐻 Alberta continues to prove why they’re one of the most disciplined and physical groups in the league after a huge 5-1 start.
🐺 Saskatchewan Huskies are rolling into their home province with momentum and confidence after a strong Session #2 performance.
⚡ Regina, UBCO, Brandon, Manitoba and Winnipeg are ALL hunting statement wins and fighting for positioning heading into the final stretch.
And trust us… records do NOT tell the full story in this league anymore.
This weekend is about:
🔥 adjustments
🔥 recruiting visibility
🔥 matchups
🔥 pace
🔥 depth
🔥 who responds under pressure
The numbers are already speaking for themselves:
📈 120,000+ live stream impressions in 90 days
⏱️ 1,355+ watch hours
👀 Thousands of views from coaches, parents, athletes and fans across Canada
Visibility matters.
Access matters more.
Every game matters now. Every possession matters. Every clip matters.

Your highlight reel isn’t the destination.
It’s the introduction.
In today’s recruiting landscape, coaches aren’t just asking:
“Can she score?”
They’re asking:
➡️ Does she understand the game?
➡️ Can she defend?
➡️ How does she react under pressure?
➡️ Is she consistent?
➡️ Does she communicate, lead, compete?
That’s why at ShePlaysYYC we don’t just throw together flashy clips with trending music and call it exposure.
We build recruitment tools designed for the recruiting lens. 🎥🏀
From starter reels for athletes just entering the conversation…
To full evaluation breakdowns and mentorship support for athletes actively pursuing U SPORTS, NCAA, JUCO, Prep & Post-Grad opportunities — every package is built with intention.
Because visibility matters.
But ACCESS matters more.
The goal isn’t just views.
The goal is getting the RIGHT eyes on your game. 👀
We don’t just make reels.
We help athletes OWN their content, control their exposure, and create opportunities.

🚨 THE WEST IS RISING 🚨
PEBL Session #3 heads to Saskatoon this weekend and if you’ve been paying attention… you already know the level keeps climbing every single session. 👀🔥
Canada West talent.
U17 athletes.
Real exposure.
Real competition.
Real visibility.
From Calgary to Regina to Saskatoon, this league is proving that Western Canadian basketball deserves to be seen. 🎥🏀

Parents. Coaches. Recruiters. Athletes.
This is why accessibility matters.
Not everyone can travel across the country to watch games… but everyone should have access to opportunity.
That’s the power of live streaming.
That’s the power of visibility.

Everybody talks about “exposure.”
But almost nobody teaches athletes HOW to maximize it.
One of my biggest frustrations as a sports parent was watching families spend thousands of dollars travelling across Canada and the U.S. chasing competition, tougher teams, and bigger events… with no actual roadmap on how to get seen.
Because let’s be honest…
Playing on Court 79 at 8:30am isn’t exactly exposure.
Especially when:
• there’s little to no footage
• nobody told coaches where you’re playing
• nobody follows up afterward
• and everyone is relying on a shaky eye-in-the-sky camera and a hope and a prayer.
That’s crazy to me.
Travel weekends are BUSINESS trips if your goal is to play at the next level.
Visibility matters. Preparation matters. Follow-up matters.
The athletes who separate themselves are usually the ones doing the little things:
✔️ emailing coaches before tournaments
✔️ posting schedules and highlights
✔️ creating consistent content
✔️ communicating professionally
✔️ following up after events
✔️ reviewing game film and self-assessing
Meanwhile, coaches are sitting in airports, hotels, and gyms scrolling their phones checking athletes long before they ever officially recruit them. They ARE watching. Even when you think they’re not.
The landscape has changed.
If athletes want opportunities, they need to stop treating social media like entertainment and travel tournaments like vacations and start treating it like a recruiting tool.
Exposure is no longer just about where you play.
It’s about how visible, accessible, and prepared you are BEFORE, DURING, and AFTER the event.
Be seen. Be intentional. Be recruitable.
