Danica ended the racing season with a Perfect Light and Top Qualifier at Castrol Raceway, September 27th.
Looks like I am going to have to build a new trophy shelf.

Even through cold and rainy weather the Cochrane Car show provide opportunity to sell a good number of raffle tickets for the quad. All profits go to the Kids Cancer Care Foundation.

We attended the NHRA National open in Medicine Hat last week. It was a great weekend. We managed to sort out the tuning issues with the car and make some good passes. We went out with a failed Drive Belt.

Our Next event is Thunder in the Valley, Drayton Valley. September 4th.

With a great big thanks to our friends, family and sponsors that helped us get the new engine, we had a very successful Peanut Butter and Jam Nationals.
Danica made it into the semi-finals and ended up in third place.
There were families from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Montana and Idaho at the race. Roughly 80 Junior racers.
3rd place is really exciting.

Our next event is the Peanut Butter and Jam Nationals, July 4th and 5th.

We would love to see friends and family at the track to cheer us on.

With many thanks to our sponsors we installed a new motor in the car and attended the Medicine Hat race June 20th. Danica broke out in the second round of eliminations primarily due to the car running inconsistent. We ran 12.20's all day up to the second round of eliminations where it jumped to 11.78. We spent Sunday working on the tune up. We think we have it sorted out for the July 4th weekend, which is a national event for the kids.

With many thanks to Kelly from Kids Cancer Care and our sponsors: Spray Lake Sawmills Family Sports Centre, Cochrane Dairy Queen, Timko Construction, Trailers 567, and Cochrane Home Educators we had a very successful fund raiser this spring.

In addition to funds raised at the Yelnats Cup Hockey Tournament at Spray Lakes we raised $800 for cancer research.
