Viking Bracelets, Oath rings and Torques Historical Weaving Styles (Left to Right)

Each piece crafted using historically documented weaving and metalworking techniques from the Viking Age. All items are produced using authentic twisting, forging, and lost-wax casting methods that replicate archaeological originals from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, and the Norse cultural sphere.

From left to right in the photo:

1. Six-Strand Classic Viking Weave (Torques with Cast Zoomorphic Terminals)**

This piece features the **classic 6-wire twist**, one of the most recognizable weaving patterns of the Viking Age.

* Six individual rods are forged and twisted into a dense, symmetrical spiral.
* The terminals (animal-head ends) are made using **lost-wax casting**, consistent with Scandinavian metalworking of the 9th–11th centuries.
* This pattern appears in finds from Norway, Birka, the Baltic region, and the Danelaw.

This style represents the **high-status craftsmanship** typical of elite warriors and traders.

2. Gotland-Style Weave – 3 Rods + Filigree Detailing (Torques)

The second torc is produced in the Gotlandic tradition, combining:

Three heavy twisted rods** forming a rope-like core,
Surface filigree added using fine decorative wires,
Terminals cast using traditional wax-model techniques.

This weaving method is documented in numerous Gotland hoards and is known for its hybrid of strength and ornamentation. It brings a distinctly Baltic–Norse aesthetic, widely used from Vendel Period / the 10th century onward.

3. Six-Rod Weave with Filigree (Bracelet / Torc Variant)

The third piece combines a six-rod braided structure with additional filigree surface work, creating one of the most elaborate Viking weaving patterns:

A structural 6-wire twist ensures strength and flexibility.
Decorative filigree increases visual complexity and reflects late-Viking luxury craftsmanship.
This mixed-technique style appears in top-tier finds associated with chieftains and wealthy merchants.

This is one of the most exclusive and technically demanding Viking weaving styles.
