My friends! Hi, It’s , coming to you a YEAR since our first market. I know this year has been a lot for all of us. It definitely feels weird coming back to this account after so long. Just know I’m thinking about you, the community. I know in my heart we will be back again together in the future. I only want ALIGN to return when it’s safe to do so and without limits to capacity. Until then, hugs and love from me 🧡

Dearest Community, ⁣
These past few weeks I have been unlearning, learning, listening, and integrating. I am a white, cis-gendered male, and with that comes an enormous amount of privilege in this world. This privilege has allowed me to create ALIGN. I have a duty to use this privilege to foster allyship and stand for racial justice and truth.⁣
Here is my promise to walk the talk:⁣
⁣
1 - Table fees will be on a sliding scale for BIPOC artists, healers, creators, and brands. ⁣
⁣
2 - A zero-tolerance policy for cultural appropriation. Vendors will be expected to read and sign this policy when submitting their application. ⁣
⁣
3 - One table will be reserved for local charities and organizations to share their work, free of charge. A portion of proceeds from the market will be donated to that charity. ⁣
⁣
4 - We will continue to cultivate an environment that is accessible and safe. Our values and mission will be at the forefront of our work. Visitors will be expected to respect these values and our mission. ⁣
⁣
This is just a start. As ALIGN continues to grow, so will my commitment to use this platform for fighting racism and racial injustice. ⁣
⁣
I continue to listen and learn. I encourage you to reach out with ideas and suggestions on how ALIGN can be better. ⁣

Hi 🧡 Just checking in to say I miss you all! I hope you’re all safe, and I can’t wait for the day we can come back together in community. In the meantime, let’s daydream about tea 🍵 with .wildhearted in this beautiful space

ALIGN is not going anywhere, but I am being reminded of the importance of softening and surrendering. With that being said, our next market on June 7th will be postponed. I have been in communication with our venue, , and we think it is best to postpone until large gatherings are allowed. The health and safety of all of you, and the community, is of the utmost importance.

I want to thank every vendor who applied for our second market, and I can’t wait until we can all be in the same space. Applications are still open if you’d like tone a part of ALIGN in the future.

Just because we are unable to gather as a community in-person does not mean we can’t support our local creators, mavericks, artists, and practitioners. I am using this time to transition and transform ALIGN to offer online space for vendors. Stay tuned.

We’re calling on our ALIGN Community to reach out spread the good vibes ✨ Scroll through our feed to find over 30 local vendors, small businesses, and practitioners. Let’s show them, and other businesses in Calgary that we care. Times don’t have to be tough 🧡

I wanted to update our community on ALIGN Market #2 amidst the COVID-19 situation. ⁣
⁣
As of right now, we are planning on moving forward with our second market in June. ⁣
⁣
The safety of our vendors and attendees is my top priority. I am closely following advice and instructions from government health professionals with regards to the situation. Currently, the Alberta Government has banned gatherings of over 250 people. This ban does affect us, but I am hoping this will be lifted by June.⁣
⁣
Our Venue, , has implemented additional safe guards such a third-party cleaning and sanitization company to work with them. Like us, the health and safety of the community is their top priority. I want to thank them for all of their hard work and for creating a space for us! ⁣

Applications are still open! The deadline will be April 7th. We hope to have a better understanding of the situation by then. I invite you to join us asa vendor by heading to the link in the bio and submitting an application. ⁣

THANK YOU | There are so many “thank yous” I want to say for yesterday.

Thank you first to all of the amazing vendors that took a chance on a first-time market. Calgary really is SO lucky have all of you.

Thank you to my partner Tyler for all of your help throughout the day. I love you!

Thank you to every single person who walked through those front doors. Calgary SHOWED UP, the support was overwhelming.

Thank you to for creating a space where we could gather and build community. You worked extra hard with and for us yesterday.

I overheard a conversation yesterday that really summed up what I was hoping would happen with ALIGN - “The minute I walked in here I felt like everything was so….omg aligned!!”. Yesterday was not about sales, customers, products, or bottom lines. It was about community, conscious consumerism, friendships, love, and sharing!

This is just the start of ALIGN. Stay tuned.
