Work/Flow/Film

and I just saw at during our 20th anniversary week and as always she was wonderful and beautiful and funny (we’ve seen her 8 times now, I believe, which is still probably on the low end for her fans 😊)
Got a chance to chat briefly and get my vinyl of “Land & Sea” signed afterward, which was a great capper to the evening.

Had the opportunity to see Charlie Kaufman and Eva H.D. In Conversation this morning at Contemporary Calgary thanks to and afterwards went for a walk along the river to enjoy the beautiful weather and process the conversation, which was fairly wide ranging and difficult to distill, but my thoughts keep returning to the beauty of art, and the ability of art to communicate with people, and how we need to express ourselves in a way that is personal and true.
They very graciously answered audience questions (including my own about the challenges/freedoms of adapting poetry to film).
I didn’t take@photos of the event because it felt antithetical to their short film “How to Shoot a Ghost” (which is beautiful), but I couldn’t help taking a few shots along my walk, including the site where Eau Claire Market once stood…

Got to spend the long weekend on set as DIT and VFX supervisor (and an extra set of hands when needed) for with an awesome crew and cast. Thanks to writer-director producer (who was also costarring along with )
Also big shoutout to of as DOP and his camera department and script supervisor .linh armourer zombie (x2) grip, etc and anyone else I’m not currently following here, or accidentally missed tagging.
Now the hard work (and fun) of putting together the [redacted😈] VFX for the film… in the rain-free 😎 but lonely 😞 zone of my office.
