Found this gem of a place in Flatrock, NL it’s called Our Lady Lourdes Grotto, ?I think grotto just means cave, it’s one of the largest in eastern Canada. I had never seen something like this in Canada. Video explainer included in the carousel 😂. Notably, Pope John Paul II visited this place in 1984 which is incredibly cool

I’ve been thinking about summer for the past 8 months. I thought seasonal depression was bad in Ireland but I’m tired of the endless clouds, the darkness, and the lifeless gray that St. John’s offers.

As Henry James said, “Summer afternoon, summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language.”

I couldn’t agree more. I need warmth, color, and something that actually feels alive.
