Did you know your solar system can be expanded once a year as your energy needs grow?

We recently took on a homeowner whose original installer had exited the market, leaving them without support. To our surprise, their system was sold to them as APSystems but turned out to be Hoymiles, we untangled the mismatched paperwork and got the system done right.

That little shop? Yeah. It powers the whole property.

Clay tile is brittle, breakage happens on every solar install. As installers, we expect it. On this project, 2 tiles were already broken when we arrived, and we replaced another 7 by the time the project was complete.

Watertight roof, warranty intact, no surprises.

Cold mornings. Steep roofs. Long days. No shortcuts.
Marcelin and Krenish set that standard every single install and it's why our clients get systems that perform for decades, not seasons.
Proud to have these guys on the Flux team.

If you look closely, you can see the roof pitch changes mid-array. Sometimes we get creative with the layout to keep everything aligned!

We're electricians first. Solar is just the fun part.

Crew swapped a 125A busbar for a 225A this week. Not because the home needed more service, but because the solar array needed somewhere to land and their old panel couldn't cut it.

Under Canadian Electrical Code Rule 64-112, the combined breaker rating feeding a panel can't exceed 125% of the busbar rating. On a 125A bus with a 100A main, that caps the solar breaker around 56A. Move to a 225A bus with the same 100A main, and you've got room for a solar breaker up to the full 100A service rating. The main becomes the limit, not the panel. And when it's time to upsize the service down the road for an EV charger, heat pump, or battery backup, the panel's already ready for it.

You'll never see the wiring, but it will be clean.
You'll never see the rodent guard, but your system will be protected.
You'll never see the meter, but it'll be spinning the right way.

Our 2025 Solar Alberta Auction winner went bigger, and we love to see it. More panels means taking full advantage of Alberta's high export rate. Smart move.
