Buying pure vanilla in the store is SO EXPENSIVE and when it's gone, it's gone. 💰💸

When you buy beans to make your own extract, you can keep that 'mother jar' going literally forever. ♾

Just top up your jar with more alcohol every so often to make sure the beans are still completely submerged!

VANILLA EXTRACT
(Double strength/Bakery strength)

Ingredients:

8 oz vanilla beans
4 cups rum or vodka

Directions:

1. Put beans in tall jar.

2. Add alcohol (must be between 80 proof and 100proof).

3. Put on your patient pants because it takes a while for the extract to become usable. Best to wait at least 6 - 12 months. (Just in time for holiday baking next year 😜)
