Sneak peak at the latest project our team is working on in beautiful Caledon East. Modern barn bungalow that consists of three separate buildings connected with glass breath-ways. Your private village on 12.5 acres of rolling hills. 👌

Ensuite remodelling is one of challenging and favourite steps. In this case we had a lovely small walk-in closet right besides the ensuite. By removing the wall in between we were able to find space for one massive shower with a bench. Moving around the bathroom elements into the right spots and lowering the window almost all the way to the floor level made this bathroom one of the highlights of the project. The final touch was the artwork by .art the world renown artist we are fortunate to work with as a team member. The explosion of reds, and greens, and blue colours gave this space a totally different emotion. Emotion of love. ❤️

Scroll all the way through the pictures to see the original staircase. The original staircase was the 30 year old modern unit that we absolutely loved. The open riser nicely shaped base plus an easy picket fix with the wood re-staining made it up-to-date. What do you think? For a house this style did we need ultra modern glass staircase?

By removing walls you can make the most significant changes in the design and especially the feel of the space. Even with the 9’ ceilings around the main floor and at the same time massive windows with open views as well as interior open concept the 9’ hight of the ceiling is never a question again. It doesn’t pressure you in any way. What we noticed is that this design concept is a much more comfortable and pleasant place to live in rather than 10’-11’ ceilings in the house with the views on neighbour’s walls and endless curtains on the windows. Don’t be afraid to buy an older house with plans of renovations as long as the main floor is at least 9’ high. The magic can be done! Hight of the ceilings upstairs doesn’t matter most of the time as a lot can be done to them depending on the roof.
