We couldn’t be happier with how this freshly-completed track and drape installation for the Magyar Kulturális Egyesület - Hungarian Cultural Society, Vancouver BC came out. ✂️
It’s amazing how even a relatively small upgrade like this completely transforms the space. Not only is the red curtain an iconic part of any stage setup, but the building now gets the acoustic benefits of the curtain as well, helping to separate front-of-house and backstage and adding a professional touch to every event held here.
Thank you to the Hungarian Cultural Society for choosing us to complete this project, and we hope it serves you well for years to come.

Recently, we had the opportunity to work with Théâtre la Seizième and Kleine Compagnie on a manufacturing project that was a little different from our usual. 🪡
This client was after something beyond the typical pipe-and-drape system, which meant a creative, custom solution was in order. This dual-purpose drape also works as a fully-functional projector screen, helping to elevate the theatre’s performances and bring a multimedia element to their brilliant stage work.
As you can see, the drape-screen hybrid system works perfectly, offering a vibrant image without compromising on the essential features of quality, locally-manufactured drapes. Thank you to Théâtre de Seizième and Kleine Compagnie for your trust with this project, and we hope to work together again soon!

Pipe and drape systems are the most common solution for stage setups, but they’re not always the better choice. 👷
Pipe and drape excels in certain situations, such as:
→ Partitioning a space into smaller areas (e.g., temporary dressing rooms, green rooms, VIP areas)
→ Hiding venue features and structures like walls, service doors, and wiring
→ Simple backdrops for photoshoots and booths
→ Cutting echoes in large rooms with poor acoustics
→ Travelling shows where portability and easy setup are key
With that said, pipe and drape can’t do everything. If you need something to physically restrict access, offer superior soundproofing, have load-bearing capabilities, or hold up outside, other drapery and stage setup options might be a better solution.
If you’re looking for help choosing the right drapery setup for your specific needs, the team at Stagefab is here to help. Reach out to discuss your project and find a solution that will work for you. 🪡

Yes, we carry sandbags.
Literally.
They're part of every pipe and drape rental we send out, used to keep your base plates stable and your uprights standing tall. Each one of our rental sandbags is 15 lbs, which Jennifer, our General Manager, is happy to demonstrate.
Sandbags are included in your rental quote based on system height and width. We'll tell you exactly how many you need.

Drape systems should last decades, but many of them just don’t. Here’s what you actually need to know about the longevity of stage drapery. 🪡
Too often, drapery companies sell their clients on fabrics that are either too cheap to be reliable for the long-term, or are just completely wrong for the applications. It’s also common for companies to provide improper guidance on maintaining fire-retardant (FR) fabrics, which means they become less safe over time.
We also often see draperies that are simply improperly sized for the space or aren’t designed for the use that they’re actually seeing on a daily basis. Add on the realities of poor stitching, unfinished seams, and a lack of reinforcement like grommets and pleats at stress points, and you’ll start to see why so many drapes start to fail within just a few years of use.
So what’s the solution? Choosing a company that puts its focus in the right places: Durability, reliability, and longevity.
At Stagefab, we proudly manufacture every drape ourselves, which means every product we rent or install is built to our exacting standards of clean, reinforced construction. We learn about the use case and specs up front, ensuring we always recommend the right materials for the job, and give detailed guidance on compliance and care to ensure your system works seamlessly for years to come. 💃🏻

Stagefab is now a Canadian reseller of Triple E Ltd track systems. 🇨🇦
After 20+ years building and installing stage drapery systems, we're selective about the products we spec. Triple E track systems, walk-along and motorized, perform consistently under real operating conditions. That's why we use them.
We'll be incorporating Triple E systems into custom stage setups for theatres, schools, venues, places of worship, and more across Canada.
If you'd like to know how their track systems could work in your space, we're happy to walk you through it. Just tap the link below. ✂️
