🪖 Camp Ādaži | Multinational Brigade Latvia
On Thursday, May 21st, NATO Field School students visited Camp Ādaži, headquarters of the Canadian-led Multinational Brigade Latvia, for a series of briefings on multinational operations, human security, military law, and coordination within the brigade. Students also had the opportunity to engage with personnel from contributing nations and view military tanks stationed at the base.

🏛️ European Centre of Excellence for Countering Hybrid Threats (Hybrid CoE)
NATO Field School students engaged with experts at the Hybrid CoE to explore the evolving landscape of hybrid threats facing the Alliance. The visit included a briefing alongside a dilemma game, challenging students to navigate complex security scenarios and multilateral decision-making in real time.

✈️ Ämari Air Base
NATO Field School students visited Ämari Air Base, home of the Estonian Air Force, for a series of briefings on air defence, surveillance, NATO air policing, and the modernization of Estonia’s air capabilities. The visit concluded with a tour of the base facilities and the opportunity to observe Portuguese F-16s stationed at the base conducting flight operations.

🛡️ Threod Systems
NATO Field School students visited Threod Systems to explore the role of emerging defence technologies and the private sector in strengthening Estonia’s security and resilience. The visit included briefings on defence innovation, adaptable supply chains, and aircraft launcher systems, followed by a live systems demonstration and a student panel on the future of emerging technologies within the NATO Alliance.

NATO Field School students explored Estonia’s approach to cyber defence and national resilience through engagements with the Estonian Ministry of Defence and CR14. The visit provided firsthand insight into the rapidly evolving cyber threat landscape and the critical role Estonia plays in strengthening NATO’s digital security and preparedness.
