They have recently won an Environmental Award through the City of Burnaby and we are proud to be a part of helping them with their achievements. About the restaurant owner Zakir: I grew up in a small town in India, where education was a luxury and making money even as a kid as young as 4 was a fair game. For a family to bring food to the table was more important. Unlike my friends, I was the few lucky ones in the family who could get what little education and avoid the child labour camps. Years later with the help of family members, my family moved to Canada. My first job was in the family's catering and food business. Since then I have always known food and customer service. For the last 2 decades, I have owned and operated a few global food brand franchises.
