Feeling introspective today. I read a lot of stuff on here about people, and not getting what they feel they deserve. I want to drop some perspective on you.

I have done wrong to people. They’ve done wrong to me. I’ve burned bridges I should have mended, and keep doors open for people that I should have closed. I’ve wanted second chances with people, and never given second chances to some who asked for them. We, as people, are works in progress. But no one in this world owes you anything. Maybe by their grace, and your actions, they will give you what they have. But it’s not just owed, because you somehow think you’re an amazing person. To anyone I wronged, I’m sorry….at the time, I didn’t know better. But please know….that wrong I did you, I’ve most likely revisited it, and learned from it. And it’s made me into a better, kinder, and more understanding person. We’re all as****es at some point in our life. Let it define that moment, but not your body of work. There will be people who won’t want to give you that second chance. And that’s fine. You most likely deserve what you got. Instead of being angry, or upset…learn from it, and take it forward into your existing, and new, relationships. Treat them better, because you did someone wrong, or someone did you wrong.

We get one kick at life. It’s too short to carry anger, or to feel upset because someone didn’t live up to your unspoken expectations.

Lol. Done working with property management companies. Race to the bottom. “Can you do lesser quality work, faster? We don’t care about workmanship, we just need to rent the apartment”. I cannot “dumb down” my work. So, no more of these slum fixer uppers.

The home stretch…nearly complete.

New countertop, sink, faucet and backsplash….nearly done. With some grout and a little touching up, it should look great.

Love it….fake it until you make it. For those who can’t mitre or cope an inside corner, heck….just fill it in with DAP!

All kidding aside, this is an absolute hack job. Tradespeople these days are getting worse and worse. Please….before hiring someone, do your homework. I’d be embarrassed to call this my work.

Back at it in Hamilton. Refresh of a dated apartment. Old laminate floor is ripped up. Subfloor going in, and putting down some glue down vinyl plank. Updates to follow.
