Close to 30 years of crafting customized retirement income plans has taught me a very valuable lesson - mental preparation for retirement is at least, if not more important, than financial preparation.

Not only will the process of mentally preparing for what you want to do, when you want to do it, who you want to do it with, and how big you plan to do it, not only significantly reduces the emotional stress of retirement, it also provides the clues to identifying where and when to rely on your many cash flow sources during your draw down years. Good choices lead to the ability of doing even more and worry even less.
