Habitat for Humanity Manitoba, Brandon Chapter's annual Cycle of Hope is officially underway, tracking through Southern Manitoba from August 3 to 9 - and the group rolled through Brandon this morning!
This year, the ride is working to raise $150,000 for home builds across the province. Local impact is huge here: Habitat for Humanity has already built 23 homes right here in Brandon, with two more underway this year.
The group includes around 30 on-the-ground cyclists (some in their 80s!), 25 virtual riders, and a dedicated eight-person support crew keeping things moving.
If you spot them on the road today, give them a wave or a cheer! 🚲👇

Transforming empty spaces into vibrant art!
🎨 Re/Fenestration runs from Aug. 6 to Nov. 28 at The Town Centre in downtown Brandon, featuring a free opening reception on Aug. 6 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Hosted by Rural Arts Westman (RAW), the exhibition transforms vacant storefronts into a public art gallery to revitalize the mall. It features over 45 artworks by Southern Manitoba artists, displayed as large vinyl stickers for a walkable experience. 🖼️🚶♂️
