Great news!

Starting September 1, youth ages 6-17 can ride Brandon Transit for FREE! Ride Ready Passes will be available through Brandon School Division schools or at the Transit Info Centre (723 Rosser Avenue) starting in September.

ℹ This program has been funded through the Province of Manitoba and is in place until August 31, 2027.

The John Howard Society of Brandon’s first-ever Commercial Kitchen is now ready and we’re accepting rental applications!

This kitchen wasn’t built for just one type of person.

🍅 Got a bumper crop of tomatoes? Preserve them here.

🧁 A not-for-profit or community group? Bake for your next fundraiser.

🥖 Got a food business idea? Test it out without taking on the cost of your own commercial space.

🚀 A start-up ready to grow? We’ve got an affordable place to start.

👩‍🍳 Want to teach a class or host a food workshop? Let’s talk!

Because we’ve heard you.

We know how difficult it can be to find affordable commercial kitchen space in Brandon. We know that the cost of space and equipment can stop great ideas before they ever get off the ground.

So we did something about it.

Our rates were carefully developed around community need, accessibility, and years of experience — because we believe you shouldn’t need a huge budget to turn a good idea into something real.

This is more than a kitchen.

August 31st is International Overdose Awarenss Day and we invite you to attend the events on that day in Brandon. There is a walk starting at noon, resource tables and food and then in the evening there will be a vigil for all of those gone to soon due to substance related harms at Coronation Park starting at 7. Please bring your own chairs. Please see the posters below for more details
