π Sales: 6,560 sales reported, down 4.5% from March 2023.
π New Listings: Increased by 15% over the same period, with a 3% decrease from February.
π Quarterly Performance: Q1 saw a sales increase of 11.2% year-over-year, with new listings up by 18.3%.
πΌ Expert Insights: TRREB President Jennifer Pearce notes a gradual market improvement, anticipating further growth with lower borrowing costs.
π° Prices: Average selling price up by 1.3% to $1,121,615, with expectations of accelerated growth through spring and beyond.

First Market Report for 2024!
Home buyers place close attention to the market this year! Be vigilant and watch for the opportunities. Home sales and listings were up to start the year due to lower bowering costs, and fixed rate mortgage products, but average price saw a slight decrease.

A never ending wedding season is to blame for this late September 2023 Market Update!
The impact of high borrowing costs, high inflation, and uncertainty around future Bank of Canada decisions continues to weigh on the GTA home sales in September. Despite a higher supply with increased listings, the average selling price was higher year-over-year.
Swipe through the post for a snapshot of housing prices since the beginning of BoC rate hike cycle in May 2023. has created a great comparison from May 2023 to September 2023.
This summer's and early fall market was a bit more balanced, with listings increasing more then sales. This suggests that some buyers may benefit from more negotiating power, at least in the short term.
