Weekend and Holiday Labourer – Purebred Cattle Focus
Dun Rite Stock Farm is a cow calf and backgrounding operation near the town of Bentley Alberta that operates a commercial and purebred cow calf herd, backgrounding enterprise and commercial bred heifer program.
We are currently looking to add another individual to our expanding operation. We are seeking an individual for the primary responsibility of feeding cattle and preparing show and sale cattle. Opportunities for additional days and responsibilities is possible dependent on skill set. Individuals with experience in a combination of the following skills are encouraged to apply.
Cattle feeding - including operating feed wagon, skid steer and bale processor
Clipping, Fitting and Halter Breaking
General farm knowledge
We are willing to train the right individual with a strong work ethic and keen attitude to learn this would be an ideal position for a high school or college student with farm knowledge. This position is part-time, salary will be dependent on experience, housing is not available, must have reliable transportation and acceptable drivers abstract. Hours will be Saturday, Sunday and Statutory Holidays 8:00am 4:00pm with potential for additional days and hours during busy seasons or during specific tasks.
