⚡ Going Electric — and Going Farther! 🚐
As some of you know, we’ve been running an all-electric Ford Transit service van for a while now.
We know there are a lot of opinions out there when it comes to electric vehicles — and trust us, we’ve experienced our fair share of challenges! 😅 When your service area covers a big part of the Chaleur Region and charging options are few and far between...things can get interesting.
But there’s a big reason we’ve stuck with it: lower travel costs. By keeping our cost of getting from job to job down, we’re able to pass those savings along to our clients and keep travel charges as low as possible.
And now we can go even farther! 🙌
With our new Tesla Supercharger adapter, we have access to more fast-charging options along our routes, which means we’re now better equipped to service clients in the Miramichi area while still minimizing travel costs.
Lower operating costs for us. Lower travel costs for our clients. And a bigger service area for Dynamic Testing & Solutions.
We’d call that a win-win! ⚡🚐💧
...

💧 OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW! 💧
Another water treatment upgrade complete! This time, we were at Motel et Camping Baie des Chaleurs motel and campground in Grande-Anse where the existing water softener was ancient and hadn’t been used in years.
We removed the old equipment, replaced some heavily corroded plumbing lines, and installed a new water treatment system designed to tackle the issues with their water.
The result? 🙌
💧 Soft water throughout the property
🟠 Iron removal
⚫ Manganese removal
🔧 New plumbing to replace the old corroded lines
With a motel and campground, there’s a lot of water being used every day — so having reliable treatment makes a big difference for everything from showers and laundry to fixtures and plumbing.
Another outdated system gone and a fresh new setup ready to do its job! 💪💧

☢️ CRAWL SPACE RADON MITIGATION — A DIRTY JOB WITH GREAT RESULTS!
This one definitely made us work for it! 😅
When we arrived, this crawl space was already encapsulated with plastic and covered with crushed rock. At first glance, it looked like a good setup — but the home was still testing well above Health Canada’s guideline of 200 Bq/m³.
Our original plan was to dig out around the perimeter and thread our perforated collection pipe underneath the existing plastic. Once we got started, we quickly realized that wasn't going to work.
Instead, we carefully cut the existing plastic along the perimeter, moved and dug out the crushed rock, and installed our perforated piping directly along the ground beneath the membrane. From there came one of the most important parts: completely covering and resealing the pipe and membrane to prevent air leakage and allow the radon system to properly pull from beneath the crawl space.
It was tight, dirty, and definitely not one of the easier installations we've done — but the results made it worth it.
📉 Before: Well over 200 Bq/m³
✅ After mitigation: Around 10 Bq/m³
That's a huge reduction and another good example of why simply having plastic over a crawl space doesn't necessarily mean the radon problem is taken care of. Proper sealing, system design, and creating an effective pressure field underneath the membrane all matter.
Sometimes the plan changes once you get into the job. You adapt, get dirty, and get it done! 💪

🚧 Before ➡️ After: From Passive to Active Radon Protection! 💨🏠
Not every radon system is created equal.
Many newer homes are built with a radon rough-in, which is a great first step and something we believe every new home should have. A rough-in makes it much easier and more affordable to install a full radon mitigation system if it's ever needed.
However, some builders will leave that rough-in as a passive radon system—essentially just a pipe running from beneath the slab and venting through the rim joist without a fan. While passive systems can provide a small amount of radon reduction under the right conditions, they often aren't enough to keep radon levels below Health Canada's recommended guideline.
In this home, the passive system simply wasn't doing the job.
✅ We upgraded the system by installing a proper active radon mitigation system, complete with a high-performance radon fan and Schedule 40 ABS piping designed specifically for long-term durability and optimal airflow. The fan creates continuous suction beneath the foundation, safely drawing radon gas from below the slab and venting it outside before it can enter the home.
The result? A system that's built to perform and gives the homeowner real peace of mind.
If your home has a passive radon pipe or you're not sure what type of system you have, we'd be happy to take a look and let you know if it's doing its job.

💧 Out with the old, in with the new! 💧
We recently replaced an aging water softener that simply wasn't keeping up anymore. After years of service, it was time for an upgrade—and the new AMS 900 Water Softener was the perfect fit.
Don't let its compact size fool you! The AMS 900 packs a punch with built-in pre-filtration, efficient water usage, and reliable performance to deliver soft, clean water throughout the home while keeping operating costs low.
If your current water softener isn't performing like it used to, it may be time for an upgrade. We'd be happy to help you find the right solution for your home's water needs.

🏠💨 Another successful radon mitigation completed!
Not every radon system is installed in a wide-open basement. This recent project had us working in a tight, dusty crawl space, but the results made every minute worth it. 💪
Crawl spaces can be a major entry point for radon gas, which is why every mitigation system needs to be carefully designed to suit the home it's protecting. By installing a customized system, we were able to safely capture and redirect harmful radon gas before it enters the living space.
The best part? The home's radon levels are now sitting at an incredible **30 Bq/m³** — well below Health Canada's guideline of 200 Bq/m³! 🎉
Every home is different, but one thing remains the same: the only way to know your radon levels is to test.
✅ Custom crawl space mitigation design
✅ Professional installation
✅ Healthier indoor air
✅ Long-term peace of mind

😅 The Reality of Radon Mitigation...
Sometimes you crawl into a dusty crawl space with a plan, all your measurements checked, materials ready to go, and a pretty good idea of how the system is going to come together.
Then you take a quick break, look up, and realize that the ductwork you've just discovered is sitting exactly where your pipe was supposed to go. 🤦♂️
Back to the drawing board!
Not every mitigation system goes exactly according to plan. Every home is different, and sometimes the biggest part of the job isn't installing the system—it's figuring out the best way to work around everything else that's already there.
A little dust, a lot of problem-solving, and maybe one too many energy drinks later, we'll come up with a new plan and get the job done right.
It's all part of making sure every radon system is designed specifically for the home, not just installed the easiest way possible.

Another successful Radon mitigation in the books! 👏
This home started with Radon levels measuring over 1600 Bq/m³ — extremely high and well above Health Canada guidelines. After installing a custom mitigation system, we were able to reduce those levels all the way down to an incredible 30 Bq/m³.
Results like this are exactly why Radon testing and mitigation matter. Lowering Radon levels can make a huge difference in the long-term air quality and safety of a home.
If you’ve been thinking about testing your home for Radon, now is the time to do it. You never know what’s beneath your home until you test.

Une autre mitigation du Radon très réussie! 👏

🚨 Emergency Call Today 🚨
A local home had completely run out of water and needed help ASAP. While we can’t do much about a dry well itself, we can definitely help out in a pinch by delivering water when it’s needed most! 💧
Hopefully their well will be back to flowing with clean, high-quality water again soon enough. Until then, we’re always happy to lend a hand where we can.
