Happy to support such as awesome community š¤š¼š¤š¼š¤š¼
Big shoutout to and for continuing their support of our club and community š
Mark isnāt just a sponsor ā heās someone who truly lives what we do. With nearly 30 years in health, performance, and rehab, heās helped everyone from everyday riders to Olympians move better, recover faster, and perform at their best.
What makes Mark and his team different is the approach ā itās not cookie-cutter. Every athlete is assessed individually, with programs built to improve strength, resilience, and efficiency so you can stay on the bike longer and avoid setbacks.
And as riders, we all know⦠staying healthy is what keeps us doing what we love.
If youāve got those nagging injuries, tight hips, sore back, or just want to move and ride better ā Mark is your guy.

Support the people who support our trails š
A quick clip from our most recent RAD Human Movement: Level 1 ā Movement Foundations workshop.
Half kneeling gave us a simple way to explore a bigger ideaā¦what we see isnāt always whatās driving the outcome.
At first look, the anti-rotation hold works, but itās being held together with a pelvic twist and anterior tiltā¦a solutionā¦but not a clean one.
So we changed the constraint.
We tried abdominal bracing to lock in the coreā¦but the system lost optionsā¦and stability dropped.
Then we shifted attention to something more fundamentalā¦ground support.
No extra cueing.
No chasing muscles.
Just a better connection to the floor.
Same person. Same position. But nowā¦
āļø stable
āļø organized
āļø no compensation
ā
This is a big part of what we explore in the Level 1 courseā¦learning to see how the system solves problems, and how small changes in constraints can completely reshape the outcome.
Appreciate everyone who came out and contributed to a great workshop this past weekendā¦and huge thank to for hosting!
More to come.

RAD Human Movement ā Level 1
š Barrie, ON
š March 28, 2026
š Strive Sport & Exercise Medicine
RAD Human Movement Level 1 is a hands-on workshop focused on how humans organize movement under real-world constraints.
This course has been fully rebuilt to reflect an evolved perspective on movement, shaped by continued clinical practice, coaching, and deeper reasoning around how people adapt to task and environment.
Level 1 now serves as the foundation of the three-level RAD Human Movement Series, guiding participants from movement observation ā reasoning ā application across rehab, training, and performance contexts.
In this workshop, youāll develop a shared movement lens that helps you:
⢠Observe movement as a problem-solving process
⢠Recognize strategies as context-dependent solutions
⢠Understand how task demands, available resources, and environment shape movement behavior
⢠Use developmental positions as low-threat environments for exploration
⢠Expand movement options by influencing organism constraints such as respiration, tone, intention, and perceived threat.
The emphasis is on reference states, adaptability, and option availability.
If your work involves assessing, coaching, or guiding human movement, Level 1 establishes the perceptual and conceptual foundation the rest of the series builds on.

Some people are the backbone of a community and never ask for recognition.
Through the Simcoe County Mountain Bike Club and throughout the local community, Iāve watched a good friend and his family give their time, energy, and care to the people around them. Whether itās showing up for trail days, supporting local initiatives, or simply being the kind of people others can rely on, their contribution extends well past the club itself.
Right now, their family is going through a difficult chapter, and it feels important to give back in a tangible way.
For 2026, Iāll be donating 10% of all SCMBC member billings from my practices at Rocca Athletic Development in Horseshoe Valley and Strive Sport & Exercise Medicine in Barrie directly to his family, alongside the clubās GoFundMe efforts.
Thereās no sign-up and no expectationāif youāre part of the club and cross paths with me as a patient, thatās enough.
Communities work because people look out for one another. Iām grateful to be able to do my small part.

Chiropractor or physiotherapist? š¤
Itās a question I get all the time ā and the real answer might surprise you.
In this blog, I break down the differences in training, approach, and skill sets between the two professions...why those differences might matter early their careers, and why they become negligible the more experienced a clinician becomes.
At the end of the day, ethical, evidence-based care with a practitioner you trust will always beat choosing based on a title alone.

Concussion recovery is often misunderstood, and symptom-based return-to-play leaves out a lot of what athletes actually need to get back in the game safely.
Having dealt with concussion myself, this is a topic I care deeply about ā and Iām committed to spreading clear, reliable information to help cut through the common misconceptions and mismanagement I see...
