Popped down to Toronto last night for the Adobe Create Now event at The Symes. It’s always interesting to step out of the studio and see what the other creatives and Adobe team-members have been up to lately.

Some of the topics included
* Creative Cloud Updates: First looks and smart shortcuts for tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, Express, and Firefly.
* AI Integration: Practical methods for using generative AI as a “creative assist” rather than a replacement.
* Real-World Workflows: Demonstrations of day-to-day processes used by Adobe pros. 

I found it espeically inspiring to hear Toronto-based filmmaker and graphic designer Tristan Laughton talk about his career evolution, following passions and the importance of ‘shooting your shot’.

Feeling incredibly inspired and ready to bring some of these new shortcuts and Firefly techniques straight into my upcoming client projects!

My group leader and I have a different idea of what a flat route looks like, but it ended up being another lovely morning for a hike before work. Even with the rain 🌧️ 🙂🥾

Finished an almost 7km hike before work this morning, during week 1 of the Build to 25km program.

I’m a little nervous about the intensity of the hills at our goal hike in Hockley Valley - but am excited to get back into the training routine!

New techniques and endless inspiration! ✨

I recently stepped away from the screen to dive into a wonderful encaustic workshop at the Alton Mill Arts Centre. There’s something so refreshing about getting hands-on with mixed media!

We worked with:
📸 Personal photographs printed on handmade paper
🐝 Melted beeswax and resin
🎨 Experimental textures and colors

Maintaining a personal creative practice like this keeps my design skills sharp and my passion high. It was such a fun day in a stunning space!

It feels great to be wrapping up so many projects this week!

I can't share very much of what I've been working on lately because of client privacy agreements, but I can share this one.

Horses, Love & Science is a book written by an Author / Psychotherapist / Mental Health Social Worker in Australia.

The client supplied a wealth of beautiful photography that made me want to hop on a plan to go see her facility in person!

I did the design and layout of the covers and interior pages. The book will soon be available in printed and Kindle versions.

We've been working with Ontario Big City Mayors since the inception of the organization back in 2015. We designed their original website and were happy to update it recently with a new look. Built on the Wordpress platform we designed it to be it simple to navigate and easy for their staff to organize and share information with their members.

OBCM mayors represent cities with populations of 100,000 or more, providing a voice for big city mayors in policy and program decisions that impact Ontario cities. Through policy development, advocacy, discussion and partnerships, Ontario’s Big City Mayors support strong and effective cities.
