Simcoe County has presented a short list of potential sites for the Organics Processing Facility (OPF) and Materials Management Facility (MMF) to be built in operation by 2019. • 5 out of the 7 sites are Simcoe County forest tracts • There will be a negative impact on terrestrial and aquatic wildlife • 6 out of the 7 sites are rural, even though a facility like this is better suited for an industrial area • When operating at full capacity 190 trucks a day will be in and out of the facility (30 more if both the OPF & MMF is built on the same site) • Visit www.simcoe.ca/mmf to read more & to submit your comments • Attend the next Public Consultation meeting at the Elmvale Community Arena Thursday, October 22 from 6-8 p.m. to voice your concerns!
