Dr. Spiegl was born and raised in Kitchener, ON. She lived in Barrie briefly in the 1970's, attending Barrie Central Collegiate and played with their concert band. 🏫
Dr. Spiegl studied at the University of Waterloo's School of Optometry and graduated in 1985. Upon graduation, she worked in a group optometric practice in St. Catharines for five years before moving to Barrie with her husband in 1990. Once in Barrie, Dr. Spiegl worked both in the Cedar Pointe Business Park and downtown Barrie before she started her own practice in 1995, at the Janice Drive Plaza on Anne Street North.
Dr. Spiegl has carried patient files from location to location and enjoys looking after long-time patients and their families. She has done many eye examinations in nursing homes in and around the Barrie area over the years.
