Jump Right In Pool Maintenance

It’s Friday Jr. today and we are keeping our fingers crossed for a hot weekend 🤞🏻☀️

They are calling for rain here in Simcoe County every day this week 🌧 so you can catch us puddle jumping instead of swimming 😔

We have a beautiful sunny weekend ahead of us here in Ontario and we hope you all get in some swim time this weekend! ☀️💦

Our last & final water safety month tip is insuring that you safety proof your pool. This goes for in ground, above ground and small kiddy pools. A few ways to do this is to install a fence around your pool area, have a safety cover on your pool anytime you are not in it or around to supervise, empty small pools every night or when they are not in use 🆘

As promised we are kicking off our safety tip series…starting with LIFE JACKETS!

Here are a few life jacket tips:

1. Bright is best - there are some nice looking vests out there but make sure you are choosing one that is bright and stay away from anything with lots of black in the fabric as black is difficult to spot especially in the evening or at night

2. Not just to be worn in the pool - this is especially important when there are kids in the pool area. Have them wear their life jacket when they are near the pool and not only while they are in the water. It takes seconds for a child to fall in and be in danger

3. They do not replace adult supervision - Life jackets and floating devices do not replace adult supervision. Never leave a child or an adult who is not a strong swimmer in the pool alone and unattended
