Here is a bit about me! When I’m not at the office or working from my home, I’m usually out hiking with my girlfriend and our two dogs. I love cooking and make the time to prepare an incredible meal every evening. Aside from those hobbies, you can find me refreshing my real estate boards and checking in on the newest listings and trends. Real estate has quickly become a great passion of mine and I can’t wait to see what my future holds.

With Halloween around the corner I am thinking I will go as a preemptive offer this year. What about you?

This week is looking like it will be one of the last warm ones this year. Take advantage of it and start prepping your home for the cooler weather!

Here are some preparation tips to protect your home this season. 🍁

1: Shut off your outdoor taps. Be sure to close the valve inside and drain the taps outside. Let those outdoor taps stay open to prevent any water from freezing inside.

2. Inspect your attic for proper venting. It's important to prevent and avoid ice dams. Proper ventilation regulates your home's temperature better.

3. Clean your gutters and eavestroughs. Clogged eavestroughing and gutters can cause ice dams which might result in water incursions. Consider installing heat wires to your eavestrough to keep them warm.

4. Don't forget that lawn. It's not too late to get some last minute yard prep done. You still have some time - and weather - to fill in a thin lawn. Keep mowing and remove leaves. It's also a great time to aerate and fertilize your lawn.

It's a busy one for sure but I am looking forward to it. I'm moving (I should've started packing by now) while also helping some awesome clients work towards their own move.
