Once upon a time, a piece like this may have sat quietly in a Victorian bedroom, holding letters, ribbons, and treasured keepsakes.

Today, Adelina's Secret feels equally at home in a modern space—bringing drama, romance, and a touch of mystery wherever she resides.

That's one of the things I love most about redesigning furniture.

The past isn't erased.

It's simply given a new chapter.

Whether styled as a vanity, a statement cabinet, or a beautiful storage piece, Adelina's Secret proves that timeless design never truly belongs to one era.

A butterfly on tissue paper may seem like an extra step.

But for me, it's never just about applying an image to a surface.

By first blending the butterfly decoupage into the layers of tissue, paint, and texture, it becomes part of the piece rather than simply sitting on top of it. The torn edges soften the transition, allowing the colours and layers beneath to become part of the story.

This hatbox shares the same butterfly paper as its smaller companion, yet the two are taking very different paths.

Because no two pieces are ever created exactly the same way.

The colours shift.
The layers evolve.
The details reveal themselves.

Sometimes the magic isn't in the butterfly itself.

It's in everything that happens around it.
