Today the town of Ashern was half under water. Thanks to the firefighters, rm staff and many volunteers we were able to redirect and pump a lot of water down. The town is still on high alert as there is still a lot of water moving toward it. Stay safe out there and remember to make way for emergency responders

Ashern Fire Department hosted a fire department safety officer course this past weekend , we had 5 members (Dads) take the time to attend to this course on Father’s Day weekend along with 4 members from surrounding communities. Thank you again for taking the time to attend Also a big shout out to Cam Abrey, fire chief in Dauphin for taking the time to pass on your knowledge

Due to the heavy rains in the last few days we were called upon to make sand bags for our community. Thanks to these firefighters for stepping up again and helping out

On May 11/26 we staged a mock accident for Ashern Central school students to bring awareness to impaired driving. We would like to thank Cst Reimer and Cst Kapoor, Paramedics Trent and Alicia our victims Melissa, Lilly and Evelina, John and Karen Gray of Arnason Funeral Home and all our firefighters who have all taken time away from their jobs to bring very important awareness to our young people in our community. We also thank Mrs Kinkead for helping to make this happen and all the students for participating.
