π March Groups are out (along with a little announcement!)
As some of you know, Iβll be welcoming a new little buddy of my own in May! πΌπΆ
All groups will take a pause during my maternity leave, with our last session being on March 23rd.
But... itβs not goodbye, itβs see you later!
Buddy UP! will of course be back, and I know this amazing community will be just as strong when we reunite as soon as possible π«Ά
In the meantime, I canβt wait to see old and new faces this March to enjoy what we do best: building friendships, boosting confidence, and sharing laughter and amazing moments together π

Sensory Canvases in our kids group today! π«
We explored different textures in our environment and used mixed media to show how they feel. It led to great conversations about our sensory systems and how everyone experiences textures differently.
What textures are a favorite in your home and which ones are a hard no?

In my experience, social skills are most effective when they feel natural, engaging, and fun - not through dry workbooks, forced scripts, or kids shutting down.
I knew there had to be a better way.
So, I created the Buddy UP! Starter Bundle, pulling together some of my favorite games from our in-person groups, shaped by 20+ years supporting Neurodivergent children and teens.
This bundle includes ready-to-play social games that turn βskill-buildingβ into laughter, connection, and real engagement using simple, everyday materials.
No pressure. Just fun!

π¬ Comment which game you tried and how it went β I love hearing the success stories π«Ά
PS. If you enjoy this starter bundle, let me know if youβd like a Volume 2 with more games and ideas!
Enjoy and have fun!

π Thank you Angus! π
For the second year in a row, Buddy UP! Social Skills is honoured (and doing a little happy dance over here π) to be named the 2026 Canadian Choice Award Winner for Community Services in Angus! π
Three years ago, Buddy UP! began with one girl who simply needed a friend. Today, it has blossomed into a weekly meetup for neurodivergent youth, built on connection, inclusion, and belonging.
This recognition belongs to the Angus families, participants, and community partners who continue to show up, trust us, and help create welcoming spaces where everyone belongs.
THANK YOU for believing in connection, inclusion, and community and for cheering us on along the way! β€οΈπππ
